Lowell broke into acting with the film Dangerously Close followed by a small role in the Robin Williams movie Club Paradise. She also had roles co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier, in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) as well as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross, in 1996. She also appeared in Law & Order for two seasons. In 2005, she played the identical role as Jamie Ross on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Then, in 2022, she reprised her role on the original series. Prior to landing that role, however she was unhappy in her acting career. She applied to New York University's documentary-filmmaking program. [4] She took a break from acting in the middle of the 2000s. In 2012, Lowell lent her likeness and voice while reprising her Licence to Kill role in the video game 007 Legends. The year 2018 saw her return to TV, where she appeared on Blue Bloods. [7][8] Personal life Lowell has been married three times more. Her first husband was a fashion photographer John Stember, to whom she was married from 1984 to 1988. [9][10] She was married to actor Griffin Dunne from 1989 to 1995. They have one daughter, Hannah, from the marriage. [citation needed] Lowell married Richard Gere in November 2002 [11] following the birth of their son Homer James Jigme Gere. Two years later, in September they divorced after eleven years of marriage. The couple was involved in a contentious divorce proceeding at the New York Supreme Court for three years.
